How a relic is forged.
We're not a storefront bolted onto someone else's warehouse. Here's the chain, in order.
Denim is woven
12.7oz raw denim, woven by a mill we've worked with directly since our first drop — not picked off a catalog.
Made outside Guangzhou
Our manufacturing partner cuts, sews and embroiders each relic to our pattern. We approve every run before it ships.
Checked by hand, here
Every relic is opened, checked for stitching and hardware faults, and re-folded before it enters the vault.
Shipped from our vault
When you order, we pack it ourselves from stock we already hold. Nothing is made-to-order after checkout.
Why a button fly at all. A zip is faster to make and cheaper to replace. Buttons outlast it — there is no slider to strip, no teeth to bend, and a lost button is a two-minute repair instead of a dead garment.
Every relic in Archive 004 is fastened this way, with blackened alloy rivets set through both plies of the placket. It is the slowest part of the build and the part most likely to still be working in ten years.

Handle it before you buy it.
Everything here moves. Pull, drag, roll and rip — the way you would in a fitting room.
Drag the belt through the buckle. Whichever hole lands on the prong is your waist.
Drag the hem upward. Every relic is finished on a chain-stitch machine, so the selvedge ID runs right up the outseam.
Raw denim doesn’t arrive faded — you make the fades. Drag through two years of wear.

Raw denim relaxes with wear. Buy for your waist measurement, not your usual off-the-rack size — these run true, not vanity-sized.
- 01Between sizes? Size down. The waist opens up roughly half an inch after a few wears.
- 02Raw denim isn't pre-washed — expect dye transfer onto light fabric for the first few wears.
- 03We measure garments flat. See the table for the actual relic, not a size-chart guess.
